Chavez Bookkeeping

Hi, I’m Bronte, a bookkeeper based in Mukilteo, Washington, in the greater Seattle area. 

My story isn’t rooted in a strong love of numbers, and you could say that I came to bookkeeping from a very unexpected direction.

After owning a small microgreens farm in Duvall for seven years, I closed it for personal reasons and moved a short distance away. I accepted a position in Accounts Receivable with a small tech company, and working under the guidance of an expert accountant, I was introduced to the world of bookkeeping. While this was overwhelming at first, she worked with me over and over to make sure I really understood what she was teaching me (and she was not afraid to point out any mistakes). Eventually it stuck, and I knew I was finally getting it when the accountant didn’t need to point out what I had done wrong anymore.

Over time, I added to my knowledge and furthered my training until I became a certified Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Now I help business owners understand their books, keeping their data organized, clean, and always available when needed. But it’s also more than that. For me, being a bookkeeper who truly works to help you see how you can reach your goals is something I find satisfying. I would have been grateful for that sort bookkeeping when I owned my farm, and that’s why I aim to build that partnership with you.

I’m married to an amazing man, have two wonderful stepsons, and enjoy the mountainous beauty of the Pacific Northwest. I’m partial to cats but I love all animals, and I have a passion for English grammar.
